The Library is the heart of the Institute and it is an integral part of the our mission which revolves around teaching, research and consultancy. It is also depository for materials, including government publications, Institute publications and allied agencies publications. The library maintains the following major collections: Arts and Social Sciences, Science, medicine and nursing practice, Reference and Document Delivery which is a research collection. This unit provides technical and managerial support to realize excellence in teaching, learning and research.
The library provides access to both print and electronic information resources including number of print and electronic journals and books. It maintains a collection printed journals and a number of electronic journal databases including HINARI, AGORA, WHO Database, CDC websites, PUB med etc.
The library also provides information services to library users within and outside The Institute community. These services include: lending of library materials, document delivery services, traditional and electronic references services. Other services provided by the library include research, publication and consultancy, information literacy and computer training for library users and conference facilities.
